I had a little rough patch this past week, but thankfully everything is back to normal, so I am here with another blog post for y’all. Yay! If you know me you know I am not a big fan of country music; every time I tried listening to it I got dizzy (so weird, I know!) So I avoided that genre as much as I could. Don’t get me wrong, I had a few favorite songs, but it is not my music of choice (play Chromeo and I’m your girl!). Anyway, thanks to a free SiriusXM trial I started listening to country and I found out what I have been missing! I’m still not crazy for country but I can say I like it 75% more than I did before. So when I was trying to think of a title for this post I kept thinking of “Seein’ Red” by Dustin Lynch, and voila! here is today’s post!
To be honest with you, I think this is the only time I have worn this dress. I am in love with the rich fabric and the classic red color which make for an elegant ensemble that I had been waiting for the right occasion to wear, however that occasion has not yet made it to my calendar. (It could also have something to do with the fact it was stuffed in the garment bag in the depths of my closet that I forgot I had it and in one of those ‘I have nothing to wear’ fits I just bought something else, ha!)
Since the color is so statement-making I wanted to keep the rest simple and elegant. I paired it with a bib necklace to add some sparkle, and nude heels were the obvious choice since you can’t see my feet (you can’t tell I didn’t shave either, & that’s always a win! TMI? lol ok). Classic looks usually always have a more ‘serious’ tone to them, so to keep it fun I added a colorful clutch to keep my essentials like my phone, keys & a lipgloss.
